Hyderabad’s Niloufer Hospital became India’s first hospital to use AI-based, needle-free blood testing, delivering results in under a minute.
Developed by health-tech startup Quick Vitals, the Amruth Swasth Bharath app uses advanced facial scanning to deliver blood test results in just 20 to 60 seconds, without drawing a single drop of blood.
The app incorporates advanced AI and deep learning technologies through photoplethysmography (PPG) to deliver key health metrics like blood pressure, oxygen saturation (SpO2), heart rate, respiration rate, heart rate variability (HRV), stress levels, haemoglobin A1c (HbA1), pulse respiratory quotient (PRQ), and more directly through a smartphone or tablet.

Prof. Dr. Ravi Kumar, Superintendent of Niloufer Hospital, highlighted the tool’s potential in paediatric and maternal care: “Amruth Swasth Bharath is especially beneficial for children and pregnant women, providing an easy and effective way to conduct regular health assessments.”
Quick Vitals also stated that they designed the platform with a strong focus on data security and patient privacy. It supports multiple user profiles and ensures that personal health data is shared exclusively with authorized medical personnel.
